I work for Youth and Shelter Services as the Teen Club facilitator for the Ballard Impact Teen Club. This is an afterschool program where the kids meet four times a week and work on a variety of different projects and activities including service learning, physical fitness, practicing positive actions, and self-discovery….

In April, Kennedy Krieger Institute held its annual ROAR for Autism event, and presented the second Cara Becker ROAR for Autism Youth Fundraising Award.

The winner’s name this year might sound familiar. That’s because winner Natalie Newman was also the award recipient last year!

The award recognizes the individual 18 or younger who raised the most funds for the event and best encompassed Cara’s fundraising spirit. Natalie and her team, Natalie’s Never Land, again proved to be fundraising all stars….
