Karma for Cara Foundation awards microgrants to youth 18 years of age & younger who spearhead exceptional service projects in their communities. Microgrant recipient Dylan (15) from CA is part of the nonprofit, The Hope Brigade, a movement of teens supporting other teens during their time of need.  She and her team used her K4C award to provide uplifting care packages to teen girls diagnosed with cancer. Statistically, teen cancer patients have the highest rates of depression; not only are they fighting a disease, they are often isolated from their peers and schools in the process. The Hope Brigade aims to connect them with a community of girls their age.
